The first case focuses on a man who was stabbed to death and dumped in a canal, holding onto £6000 in cash. Discovered to be leading two separate married lives, Frost questions if one of the wives discovered this, but soon learns he was blackmailing someone over a fraudulent scheme. Meanwhile, his second case focuses on the dismembered body of a man found in a fridge at a recycling holding site. The victim transpires to be linked to the local ballroom dancing scene, and Frost soon discovers his killer is extremely competitive to an alarmingly unhinged manner."

Although it appears to be the act of a mugger, the victim's wife comes in to Denton Police to report her husband's disappearance, which intrigues Frost and makes him question if the victim's sleep therapist is related to the matter. The second focuses on an escort girl found in a hotel room by a married businessman. Although they deny murder, they confess shock at knowing the victim through their daughter. When the man is later found dead in his car, Frost suspects the two deaths are connected. "
