This is one film that I have watched over and over for many years. It never fails to entertain. What a great script !! Bette shines in what is probably her greatest role. Sometimes I feel the film should be titled, All About Margot. Anne Baxter is a fine actress in her own right, but she really could not even begin to compete with Miss Davis. Is it any wonder there are no scenes depicting Miss Baxter actually acting on stage ? She had limitations as an actress. It is too bad that she insisted on competing in the Oscar leading actress category instead of the supporting category. She and Miss Davis would have probably both won. It is difficult to believe that Miss Davis never won another Oscar after her win for Jezebel. She worked hard at her craft and she shines in nearly every role she ever had. She is my all time favorite actress.
