As founder-member of Ten Years After Chick Churchill played an imminent role in that band, together with Alvin Lee, Ric Lee and Leo Lyons. When Alvin Lee left the band he issued this solo outing, on which he plays keyboards, wrote all the songs, produced the album and sang on a few tracks, the others were sung by Gary Pickford-Hopkins of Rick Wakemans outfit. With the help of several guest musicians he recorded this solo album in 1973.

You and Me is Churchill's only solo album, is an unfairly forgotten rock gem with quite strong, progressive influences. A bevy of famous friends Jethro Tull's Martin Barre, Cozy Powell, Leo Lyons, Rick Lee, Roger Hodgson, Bernie Marsden, Gary Pickford Hopkins, it’s really hard to imagine a better configuration on one record.
