Kiki Kogelnik and the Venetian Heads
Ei merkintöjä
The Austrian artist Kiki Kogelnik (1935-1997) once described herself as "perhaps the only pop artist in Austria". Since the early 1960s she has lived and worked in the USA, Vienna and Carinthia and had an international career.
In the years between 1994 and 1997 she created her "Venetian Heads" in several series, for which she would later become so famous.
Adriano Berengo had inspired the collaboration with the artist, whereby the examination of the material glass Kiki Kogelnik was to open up a completely new artistic universe. The designs she painted in watercolours were executed by the outstanding glassblowers of Berengo in the presence of the artist herself at the glassworks in Murano.
