Man - Friday 13th is a fitting tribute to a fine band and the wonderful musicianship of the late MICKY JONES, DEKE LEONARD, MARTIN ACE and JOHN WEATHERS* and features a performance of classic MAN material from beginning to end - An essential addition to the MAN discography. 

Man's style combined elements of psychedelia, space rock and progressive music. MAN define the 'space rock' genre as much as bands like NEKTAR or HAWKWIND do; from 1969 through to 1977 they were one of the most consistently excellent progressive acts in Wales, and are possibly the most famous progressive rock act from Wales even to this day.

According to AllMusic, "Man were one of the most promising rock bands to come out of Wales in the early '70s". Classic Rock magazine called Man a jam band. Frank Zappa was an admirer of Man's music, and once described Man guitarist Micky Jones as "one of the 10 best guitarists in the world".

*John Patrick 'Pugwash' Weathers (born 7 February 1947) is a retired Welsh rock drummer, best known for playing with the progressive rock band Gentle Giant.
