In 1974, author, director and producer Tobe Hooper let go of his gloomy vision of humanity - a story about five young friends whose innocent drive into the green on a summer afternoon becomes a terrible nightmare. For a whole generation, "Leatherface" became a horror icon and the film a cult. Tobe Hooper's chainsaw massacre remains a milestone of exploitation cinema and is still one of the most fearsome horror films of all time.
